Location: The Harringay Club, 184 Tottenham Lane, Crouch End, London, N8 8SG

This event is in the past.

Uday Bhosale started learning Yoga at Ramamani Iyengar Yoga Institute, Pune around 1999. His first teacher was Ali Dashti (currently in Switzerland) and he feels lucky to have had the opportunity to learn directly from from BKS Iyengar, Geeta Iyengar and Prashant Iyengar. He believes his yoga teaching is directly due to the blessings and lessons from these great teachers and his colleagues at RIMYI, Pune.

Uday has been a teacher at RIMYI, Pune since 2002 where he has conducted classes for Children (7-15 years), Intermediates and Beginners. He was a regular assistant in the medical (therapeutic) classes at RIMYI, which have a wide spectrum of students with health issues.

His work in the UK has enabled Uday to develop a loyal and ever growing following of teachers and students. He is a light-hearted, intelligent and insightful teacher with clear and concise teaching instruction that reflects his roots in India.

The workshop will focus on a teaching approach for children to benefit their physical and mental development. Qualities such as discipline and courage should be encouraged in order to generate interest and motivation to practice yoga. Teens should work on flexibility, strength building, confidence, concentration, determination and good posture. This workshop is suitable for teachers or teacher trainees
